Fees

My usual fee is $160 per session. Provincial health insurance such as the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and the Régie de l’Assurance Maladie du Québec (RAMQ) do not cover my fees; most of my clients pay me directly. My fees can be deducted from your income tax as a medical expense.

Supplementary health insurance provided by most employers does cover at least part of my fees. The coverage varies from one employer to another, so you will have to check to see exactly what benefits your plan provides.

If you were injured or traumatized by a car accident, then you may be eligible for coverage by automobile insurance. If you were injured or traumatized at work, then the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) might be able to pay for your treatment.

If you are a victim of a crime, then other sources of funding include the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB). These programs can help victims by paying for a variety of services ranging from clean-up and emergency accommodation to counselling.

If you have any questions about the cost of psychological services, please give me a call.
